James Hardie cladding
Here was a challenge for Summit –- how to give a Victorian semi a major external makeover where space is tight.
We were contacted by our clients, Terry and Jim, who live in Wood Green, North London. They were building a side extension to their house and looking at all the options that would give it the best look possible.
Terry and Jim run a successful florist’s business with high standards, so they were precise about their requirements and expectations.
A lot of the exterior rendering on their house was cracking and because of the height and awkward access to the property, they would be faced with a constant challenge to maintain the walls in good order.
Summit have been specialising in James Hardy cladding for over five years and our experience helps us to advise clients on which styles and colours work best on different properties.
We recommended that all the original rendered walls should be re-faced with James Hardy cobblestone cladding, at the same time as incorporating the new side extension. This was a complex task because the old and cracked render had to be removed and the roof slates extended.
Summit then fitted ”hardiplank” cladding to the rear wall and new side extension to give the whole house a bright new look, all of it completed in just seven days.
Our clients, Terry and Jim, were amazed at the transformation and complimented us on our professionalism and eye for detail. They said they had used many tradesmen on their Victorian house makeover, but Summit had gone beyond their expectations.
