James Hardie cladding installation in north London
November 4, 2016 4:34 pmSummit Cladding were contacted recently by clients we had worked for previously, who live in Enfield, north London.
We had previously replaced all the original wooden fascias and guttering at their house six years. The address did not grant easy access to it’s roofline, which was causing issues and scaffolding was always necessary to gain access.
The wooden soffits and fascias were beginning to rot as the timber really needed painting every three years, which had been difficult for the client to achieve.
The second issue facing them was the original render on the house was now starting to crack. Although the house had been constructed in the nineties, it unfortunately was starting to look tired and dated.
With years of experience in the industry, and a keen eye for aesthetics, Summit Cladding solved the maintenance issue and the appearance.
Firstly, we suggested fitting rosewood maintenance-free uPVC fascias and soffits. They have the great appearance of timber fascias and soffits without the headache of continual maintenance.
Our second suggestion was to remove the render and fit cobblestone James Hardie concrete cladding. This product would compliment the rosewood fascias and be maintenance free.
After several on-site meetings and discussion with the clients, the intended work was agreed and we commenced work.
A complete scaffolding platform was erected at the front of the property. Treated timber was then fitted to all the existing rendered areas of the address. Finally
James Hardie cladding textured cobblestone was then fitted to all the designated areas. When all the concrete cladding was in place, we trimmed it up to the windows
Having completed the installation was completed, we cleaned all the original fascias we had fitted for our client, as well as re-bedding a loose ridge tile.
Summit gave the property a great new look coupled with the fact the exterior of the house is now completely maintenance free.
