Door canopy installation in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

Estate agents love to talk about “kerb appeal” when describing a house for sale. Does it look good from the front – like a perfect smile with a good set of teeth? Well, one way to be sure that your property has kerb appeal is to fit a brand new front door canopy. Summit Cladding was contacted by Kevin, from Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, just before the pandemic lockdown. He and his wife had lived in their home for five years and were getting fed up with the existing flat canopy that was fitted when the house was built. Every time it rained, water would flow over the front of it, soaking anyone trying to get in or out of the... View Article

Door and window canopy installation in Bushey, Hertfordshire

Summit Cladding loves a challenge – and here is one that certainly tested us. Our clients were in the process of changing the doors and windows at their home in Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire, when they took a long hard look at the front of their house. The new windows looked great, but they really did not like the front elevation of the house which was, well, a bit ordinary. But as we’ve said before, fashions change and the style looked very dated. Summit’s challenge The question for us, then, was how to... View Article

Door canopy installation in Barnet, north London

Summit were recently contacted by a client who lives in Barnet, north London. The client was very specific in her requirements and had lived at the property for over ten years. Having completely modernised the interior, she wanted to give the house an outside makeover, giving it the kerb appeal it deserved. After several site visits, Summit Cladding came up with an ideal solution that our client loved. We suggested constructing a pitched roof door canopy over the front door. This would alter the flat look of the front of the address and create more depth. To start, we hand-carved two wooden gallows brackets that would support the new timber frame. This we combined with a plain tile exactly the... View Article
